JAMB INTRODUCES CUSTOMIZED SIMS FOR CANDIDATES AHEAD OF 2025 UTME REGISTRATION

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced plans to issue customized phone sims to candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This decision comes as part of the board's efforts to address the recurring challenges of theft or missing Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards.

Partnership with Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)

JAMB has partnered with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to make this initiative possible. The customized sims will be used solely for UTME registration and will be accessible only to parents or guardians, with an expiry date of five years.

Benefits of Customized Sims

According to the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the new SIM regime is expected to solve the numerous problems associated with candidates' registration. The customized sims will provide a seamless and more flexible registration process for candidates.

Commitment to Leveraging Technology

The Registrar expressed JAMB's commitment to continually exploring ways to utilize state-of-the-art technology for efficient service delivery to Nigerians.

This development is a significant step towards improving the UTME registration process, and candidates can expect a more streamlined experience in the 2025 examination. Stay updated for further information on this initiative and the upcoming UTME registration.
