NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY (NOUN) SETS TO BEGIN ADMISSION PROCESSING THROUGH JAMB

"The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced that all individuals seeking admission to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and other open distance learning centers must register through JAMB. Candidates are also required to provide their unique National Identification Number (NIN) as part of the registration process. This measure is aimed at preventing fraudulent activities and ensuring the integrity of the registration process.

According to JAMB, prospective candidates in non-regular programs (NOUN, Distance Learning, Part-time, and Sandwich programs) must create a profile code by sending their NIN to JAMB's shortcode (55019 or 66019) before registering. Previous candidates in non-regular programs who have not integrated their NIN or unique phone number on JAMB's platform must create a profile using their NIN to access JAMB's services.

JAMB will maintain a flexible registration process, making its platform available throughout the year. Candidates are expected to apply through JAMB before approaching their preferred institutions to process their admission, and pay a processing fee determined by the institution."
